The Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Reference 5146, patented in 1996, was chosen "Watch of the Year" by the Swiss horological magazine Montres Passion.

The Patek Philippe 5146J Annual calendar features date, day of the week and month; moon phases and power reserve indication. It knows which month has 30 and 31 days: it automatically displays the correct date, month and day of the week.

The Ref. 5146J is available with a cream or slate gray dial, gold applied hour markers and numerals. The case diameter of the Ref. 5146J is 39mm. The Patek Philippe Ref. 5146 comes on a brown aligator strap with fold-over clasp. The Ref. 5146 is water resistant to 30mm.

The Ref. 5146J has a sapphire crystal case back which displays the Caliber 315 S QA 24h self-winding movement which is powered by it's central 21Kt gold rotor which gives the watch a high degree of efficiency. The movement is made up of 225 individual parts.
