The Patek Philippe Annual Calendar, patented in 1996, was chosen "Watch of the Year" by the Swiss horological magazine Montres Passion.

The Patek philippe 5146/1J 18Kt yellow gold on the "wave" bracelet. The Ref. 5146/1J features the date, day of the week and month; moon phases and power reserve indication. It knows which month has 30 and 31 days: it automatically displays the correct date, month and day of the week. The Ref. 5146/1J also has a center sweep second hand.

The Patek Philippe 5146/1J is available in a cream colored dial with gold applied hour markers and numerals. The Patek Philippe 5146/1J Annual Calendar comes in 39mm case size and is water resistant to 30 meters.

The Patek Philippe 5146/1J has a sapphire crystal case back which displays the Caliber 315 S IRM QA LU self-winding movement. This exquisite movement is powered by a 21 Kt gold central rotor which gives the watch a high degree of efficiency. The caliber 315 S IRM QA LU movement is made up of 225 individual parts.
