Yes that right 2.5 million dollars for this unique and historically important Patek Philippe perpetual calendar chronograph. The watch will go on auction next month at Christies in Geneva-Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues.
The Patek Philippe Ref. 1527 perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatch with moon phases and a tonneau-shaped case was manufactured in 1943. Until recently very little was known about this equisite timepiece. Not only was it missing a model number but it was also missing any relatives from Patek Philippe’s 1940s production. During recent months of in depth research and relentless study it was determined that the watch was indeed a Ref. 1527and is only one of two ever made.
